"In order to protect the integrity and the nutritional quality of
our flour, we have been following the tradition for over a century,
using a stone mill" Since the beginning of 1900 the Filippini
family has been working in the village of Teglio, historical place
for the cultivation of buckwheat. Teglio is about 1000 meters above
sea level and here the fresh mountain air mixes with the hot sun's
rays lightening vineyard terraces.
Tradition together with innovation are the formula which make the
Molino Filippini of Teglio a successful reality in the variegated
circle of flour manufacturers. The sponsoring for the "International
Congress on Buckwheat" is a clear proof that the Molino Filippini
wants the buckwheat tradition to be rediscovered otherwise it could
be lost in time.
